SUMMARY:Alcoholics Anonymous
DESCRIPTION:The Sunrise Meetings are 60-minute Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings held early every weekday morning at the Fellowship Centre. AA meetings provide peer-to-peer recovery support. Those who attend these early morning meetings are often on their way to work or are simply early risers. Attendees reportedly feel that a meeting first thing in the morning sets them straight for a productive\, serene and happy day. All are welcome regardless of the nature or extent of their addiction or recovery. There is no cost to attend\, although all AA meetings ask for voluntary donations to support the meeting. \nIf you cannot attend in person\, join the meeting on Zoom. \nZOOM MEETING ID 899 6946 5894     \nPASSCODE 912107

SUMMARY:Alcoholics Anonymous
DESCRIPTION:The Sunshine Meeting is a 60-minute Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) discussion meeting held Tuesday mornings at the Fellowship Centre. The chairperson of the meeting selects topics to facilitate discussion. Topics are typically focussed on self-improvement because happy people are more likely to recover from addiction than those who continue to wallow in misery and self-pity. The following is read aloud at the beginning of almost all AA meetings because it summarizes the nature and purpose of such meetings: \nAlcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience\, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect\, denomination\, politics\, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy\, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. \n All are welcome regardless of the nature or extent of their addiction or recovery. There is no cost to attend\, although all AA meetings ask for voluntary donations to support the meeting.

SUMMARY:Alcoholics Anonymous
DESCRIPTION:The Fellowship Nooner is a 60-minute Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings at noon 365 days a year. AA is a fellowship of people who share their experience\, strength\, and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. All are welcome regardless of the nature or extent of their addiction or recovery. There is no cost to attend\, although all AA meetings asking for voluntary donations to support the meeting. \nA fundamental assumption of AA and all 12-Step recovery programs is that we work on ourselves to become better people. Those attending the Fellowship Nooner meetings share their thoughts on readings such as those presented in daily addiction recovery readers. For example\, from August 6 in Daily Reflections: Driven by a hundred forms of fear\, self-delusion\, self-seeking\, and self-pity\, we step on the toes of our fellows\, and they retaliate. From April 6 in Walk in Dry Places: I’ll check myself today to see if false pride is dictating what I say and do. The more I can let others see me as I really am\, the more honest my relationships will be.

SUMMARY:Alcoholics Anonymous
DESCRIPTION:ISMs is a 60-minute Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting held each Tuesday evening at the Fellowship Centre. AA meetings are for mutual support between those who are at various stages of the addiction recovery journey.  Some attending this meeting have been sober for many years; others are still drinking but want a better life. ISM is an acronym frequently used in 12-Step recovery to refer to less than ideal recovery behaviour. For example: \nISM = I Self-will Me\nISM = I Sponsor Myself\nISM = I Skip Meetings\nISM = I Sabotage Myself\nISM = Incredibly Short Memory\nISM = Impatience Selfishness Manipulation\nISM = Internal Spiritual Malady \nAll are welcome regardless of the nature or extent of their addiction or recovery. There is no cost to attend\, although all AA meetings ask for voluntary donations to support the meeting.
