Mental Health and Addiction Support is a 60-minute meeting for those seeking support with mental health as related to addiction recovery. A Canadian Certified Counsellor facilitates the meeting focused on providing information and reviewing effective strategies to improve mental health and functional behaviour. Topics presented and discussed might include emotional intelligence, stress management, building resilience, anxiety and panic management, and depression awareness and coping. Such group counselling is standard practice in most psychological approaches to addiction treatment.
All are welcome regardless of the nature or extent of their addiction or recovery. There is no cost to attend, although voluntary donations help with the cost of the meeting.
