HELP FROM THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN THERE AND RECOVERED

The Fellowship Centre is a welcoming facility with a growing cohort of volunteers dedicated to helping those in need of recovery from a “seemingly hopeless state of mind and body” (Alcoholics Anonymous, p. xiii). The Fellowship Centre includes: 1) a dedicated phoneline, 2) a monthly publication, 3) a recovery library, 4) a website that includes a recovery blog, 5) social events, 6) Twelve-Step recovery meetings including one in Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, 7) Smart Recovery, 8) Wellbriety, 9) mental health and addiction meetings, 10) Facebook and Instagram recovery posts, and 11) volunteer opportunities.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the South Edmonton Fellowship Centre is to:

  1. provide a meeting place in South Edmonton where addicts in recovery may gather to heal, learn, and enjoy fellowship;
  2. provide a site for addiction recovery support meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences;
  3. provide opportunities for public and family involvement in the process of addiction recovery;
  4. provide information on addiction and approaches to recovery;
  5. provide recovery-oriented social activities in a safe and welcoming environment; and
  6. affect its purpose without discrimination as to race, colour, religion, national origin, creed, gender-identity or sexual orientation.

Our Vision

The South Edmonton Fellowship Centre strives to provide free community-based addiction recovery support in a safe and welcoming facility. The assistance offered includes peer-based recovery support meetings where those with considerable recovery voluntarily help those with less recovery. The Government of Alberta considers such mutual addiction recovery  support an essential service to preserve life, health, and public safety.
